Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate
【Another name】Magnesium sulfate；Bitter salt；Magnesium sulfate crystalline.
【Description】White crystalline, salty, relative density 1.67, weathering in dry air. Loss of 1 molecule of water of crystal at room temperature, loss of 4 molecules of water of crystal at 70-80℃, loss of 5 molecules of water of crystal at 100℃, loss of 6 molecules of water of crystal at 120℃, 250℃ becomes anhydrous. Melting point 1124℃(anhydrous). Soluble in water, soluble in glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol and glycerin, insoluble in acetone.
